Since the successful completion of our pilot in November 2022, our Mathare site at Mathare Community Outreach (MCO) school is in full operation 5 days a week.

Mathare Community Outreach (MCO) School
Our Community Cooker at MCO was built in 2012 by Safaricom Foundation but quickly fell into disrepair due to a lack of business model and accountability. In 2021, we repaired the existing cooker and now operate it in line with our business model. We bake bread and make Uji Power on a daily basis using the cooker.
Taka Taka Zero Kiosk
In March 2024, we celebrated the opening of our own Taka Taka Zero kiosk right in the heart of Mathare 4B community. Our shop allows us to sell more quantity, spread our branding and access a larger customer base. All products made at MCO on the Community Cooker is sold at the kiosk.
